SITE STATUS

Peace be upon you

Mid-October 2011. Re-indexing, renaming and re-numbering is still underway. Expect broken links. A few seasonal songs are temporarily available on-line. An alert to readers was posted to beware of domain hijacking.

Mid-August 2011. The Bulletin Board files are being renamed and renumbered. Re-indexing is underway. Expect broken links.

Early Summer 2011. The e-zine files have been updated and several new editions are now available.

Late Spring 2011. Editing work continues, but general progress on the site has slowed as we travel on a Hippie Trip. We expect to make no further major structural changes to the site. We are recording our experiences while sojourning. Some of these written accounts will appear on-line, insha'Allah. Several new songs are also coming along. Most of our current work involves organizing years of notes taken on scrap paper and transcribed at various times.

FLAG DAY

Some of the earliest European settlers in what we now call America designated a green tree on a white background as their flag.

The American Flag
The pattern for the US flag was officially selected June 14, 1777.

"Resolved, That the flag of the United States be made of thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new Constellation." - Continental Congress

The flag design has evolved to thirteen stripes, alternate red and white, and 50 white stars, one per state, in a blue field.

National Flag Day is June 14th every year.

This flag began flying here on June 14, 2001
